See how Cuddle Pals are making a difference in medical care, according to health experts.

Dr. Nghi Bui

(Clinical Psychologist, Sydney Children's Hospital)

"The Cuddle Pals has been a wonderful addition to our clinic! It has provided our patients with a source of comfort and warmth, especially for our children who present in a state of anxiety or distress. We see children who are newly diagnosed with chronic medical conditions, exposed to distressing medical procedures or struggle with complying to their treatment plan. We have observed both children and parents hugging the Cuddle Pals, giggling with the toys and sitting on laps of our patients. It has been observed in session that children tend to open up and engage better with the clinician, and therefore providing a more positive experience in hospital. The weight of the toys makes it unique compared to other average toys seen on the market - I would recommend this to any health professional or parent!"

Niamh Taggart

(Provisional Psychologist, Royal North Shore Hospital)

"The Cuddle Pals have quickly become favourites in my therapy sessions. Two of my young patients immediately formed attachments with them, giving them names and expressing enthusiasm. One child even hoped for more animal options! I've observed increased engagement and openness, making the therapeutic experience more positive for these children."

Emily Newbold

(Senior Paediatric Occupational Therapist, Kids First Occupational Therapy)

"The Cuddle Pals have been such a lovely and sensory-rich addition to our paediatric OT clinic. With their soft fur, evenly distributed weight, and lovely scent so many of our clients from ages 2 to 8 have enjoyed cuddling these cute pets. We have effectively used them as a regulatory tool when children are upset and as extra sensory input when engaging in play or tabletop activities. We are excited this wonderful product is on the market and will definitely be recommending to our clients and their families."

Ailsa Marshall

(Diabetes Educator, Royal North Shore Hospital)

"A newly diagnosed 6 year old with type 1 diabetes was given a Cuddle Pal during insulin injections. The child held it close to her chest during the procedure, resulting in lower levels of anxiety. She loved it so much that she named it Emma and requested it for subsequent appointments. It was a positive experience and the weight of the toy offers unique comfort that eases these difficult experiences."

Gabrielle Veloso

(Psychologist, Aspect)

"We had a nonverbal autistic adult client who was very unhappy in an enclosed clinical setting. He was disinterested in the materials presented to him and walked from room to room to avoid engaging in tasks. However, this changed once I handed him Peanut the Puppy, after noticing some pressure-seeking behaviours (which some autistic people exhibit). It was the first time I observed him smile and even laugh while bouncing it up and down. He also enjoyed manipulating the weighted arms and finally settled in a chair with the Cuddle Pal on top of him. When he moved around, he carried it with him the entire time. Needless to say, he was much more keen to be there, and rapport was significantly improved after the Cuddle Pal was introduced."

Amelia Christie

(Clinical Nurse Specialist, Royal North Shore Hospital)

"The children I work with loves Cuddle Pals! The weight and soft textures seem to instantly soothe them. I have noticed an improvement in their comfort and overall demeanour when they hold a Cuddle Pal. We love them and all the kids want to use them!"
